Tryst.link Update, Jun ‘22: Provider Search Just Got Better

. 4 min read

A big search refresh

We've been working on a big refresh to the search interface for a while, focusing on making it easier to use, more accessible for all, and making it more attractive to use. This month we started rolling out that new interface and collecting feedback and we're already seeing great results!

New search interface and expanded search with filters

The new search interface is showing some impressive results as it makes it clearer that search is the best way to find providers on Tryst.link.

  • Overall, there are 20% more searches being performed with the new search interface than the old one.
  • 130% more of the searches performed include a specific location rather than using the Anywhere option, meaning users are getting better, more relevant results when looking for providers.
  • Those more relevant results led to a 5% increase in the number of thumbnails clicked. More users are seeing more providers they are interested in and checking out their profiles.
  • Page views increased by 7.5% meaning more users are checking out more pages on Tryst.link.
  • The bounce rate reduced by 2.33%, which means more people who came to Tryst.link interacted with the platform.

We roll out changes like this slowly so we can gather feedback and statistics to make sure the updates provide a better user experience. If you aren't seeing the new interface yet, it will be visible soon as we roll it out worldwide to all users. If you have any feedback you want to share, please reach out. We continually improve Tryst.link based on your feedback.

Does this mean how search works has changed?

No! Search and filters still work the same as it did with the old interface, we've just revamped the way it looks and made it much more accessible to those who use assistive technologies, like screen readers, to access Tryst.link.

New this month

Tips on how to verify an email is legitimately from Tryst.link, this will appear at the end of all profile and account emails you receive from Tryst.link

Other changes

  • Fixed a case where some users would occasionally see a redirect page that didn't automatically redirect them like it is meant to.
  • Added a banner on conversations to make it clearer when a message is from a user, not from the Tryst Team. We also made it clearer that a message is from the Tryst Team and not another user by showing our messages in green and the Tryst heart in the title.
  • Improve how we display content on questionnaires and surveys to make them easier to read and respond to.
  • Improved how our emails render on mobile to make them a little nicer to read.
  • Squashed a bunch of 🐛 bugs and ⌨️ typos.
