Thanks for joining us for our provider interview series 'A Tryst With...' Today we're catching up with Washington DC Escort Remy Herer.
What’s your story? How did you get started as an escort and how’s it going?
I initially got started as an escort during college, back in the days when everyone used Craigslist to advertise. I took a pause for many years and then decided to resume as of 2 years ago. I have come such a long way from being a shy, innocent young thing to a confident and experienced gender shifting pretty boy.
Is there a common assumption people make about trans sex workers that really ticks you off?
That we’re all waiting for surgery to be complete. It’s weird and off-putting to realize that someone sees you as incomplete and that they’re holding these expectations over you that you’re not interested in. I have no interest in top surgery, which may be rare, but it makes me no less valid than others who want this care. Asking when I’m planning to get it done throws the whole mood off.
Has your work impacted your relationship with your gender and or your presentation?
It has given me a place to bring forth an intensely femme side of myself that isn’t often out in other areas of my life. I have learned that I really enjoy shifting my gender presentation to inspire lust and desire. I know who I am at the end of the day, but during a session, I transcend gender to embody the fantasy someone sees in me.
Do you find that there is a type of client who seeks you out, who you really enjoy seeing?
I’m delighted to be approached by clients who are exploring or experimenting with their sexuality. It’s very special to get to be a positive influence in this area of a person’s life journey. I believe that every person should get to bloom fully into themselves and I love being able to support my clients in this way.
What’s the most important thing that potential clients need to understand about you, your identity, and the experiences of trans and POC sex workers?
We’re not unused to being treated like an exotic novelty which isn’t necessarily a problem as long as you’re willing to be respectful and compensate accordingly for the experience. If you want me to help check an item off your bucket list, I’m doing it for you, not me. My skills, knowledge, and personality are valuable so treat them as such.
Are there any trans BIPOC people whose online presence has been influential for you and who you’d like to give a shout-out to?
Sif Blvck has been such an inspiration to me as a fellow trans asian sex worker and content creator. I love his style, artwork, and energy. I’m glad to know him and enjoy watching him glow up!
How do you navigate making content that feels true to you while also being marketable?
I’m an experimentalist at heart so thankfully trying new things is already something I really enjoy doing! I take the time to make every piece of content fun for myself whether it’s getting a new outfit I’m excited about or adding things I enjoy alongside a popular request. The audience can feel your energy so it’s important to make sure you’re bringing forth your best self.
How do you deal with burnout? How do you recharge or take a break?
I find that taking the time to fully disconnect really helps me recharge. It’s hard to be chronically online and it can feel stressful to step away, but it’s so important. I like to work on other creative projects or spend time with friends.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I’m a huge One Piece fan and actively working on finishing the series! I love to cook, tend to my balcony garden, play video games (Diablo IV currently), and explore the city via bicycle while playing Pokémon Go. I’m an avid camper and especially love being nude in nature like at Gunnison Beach.

In the future, I plan to: create more bi confusion content as a delightfully corrupting incubus.
A movie I can watch over and over without ever getting tired of is: Inception.
My next trip out of town will be to: PA to attend a burn!
For me, the best part of sex is: that moment when nervous excitement transforms into fiery, hot chemistry.
A social cause I care about is: MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) because I believe psychedelics can be more healing than we realize.
We'll get along if: you enjoy adventure and hedonism with a shot of good tequila.
