Well hello my loves, and welcome back to A Tryst With, our worker interview series. I've missed you all terribly. Today we're chatting with the beautiful, the bubbly, the San Diego Escort, Kimber Devine!

Tell us your story, how did you get into the industry and what has your journey looked like thus far?
From the time I was young I remember wanting to be a stripper. While other girls were dressing their Barbies like Doctors or Lawyers, I was putting Barbie in her sluttiest little outfit and making her pole dance for Ken. So on my 18th birthday I did what any aspiring exotic dancer did and headed to my local titty bar to get a job. I had no idea what I was doing on stage but I was pretty and barely 18 so they hired me anyways, I didn’t know it yet but this was just the beginning of a lifelong career in the sex industry.
I learned how to work the pole and give a mean lap dance but I still had no idea how other girls would go home with hundreds and hundreds of dollars and after tipping out the bar, dj, house, etc. I was lucky to leave with $100 on a good day. I don’t remember the exact details of how it happened but finally one of the girls gave me the run down on turning tricks in the private VIP room. I made a lot more money after that, but I really hated having to give up any of my hard earned money tipping out the club, so it was only a matter of time before I quit all together in favor of working as an independent provider.
Since then I’ve explored many different sides of the sex work scene, I love camming and selling my own amateur content, but providing services in person has always been my forte. I still love to dance and I start almost all of my dates with a sexy little strip tease or a lap dance, it’s such a great ice breaker!
From the start I have always told myself that I would only keep escorting as long as I enjoyed doing it and that if I ever found myself becoming jaded I would quit. Well after 10 years I’m still very much enjoying myself and I don’t see that changing anytime soon!

How has the industry changed since you started?
I tell people all the time, If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at hoeing, now is the time to do it! haha. But in all seriousness, it’s a good time to be a Sex Worker. Compared to when I first started back in 2012 there is significantly less stigma surrounding the industry, we have so many more resources and at least in my city the average hourly donation is now double what it was when I first started!
I think that the huge success of platforms such as Only Fans has really helped to normalize the industry, a lot of people now see SW as a viable career choice, and an empowering lucrative one at that. No longer is it a totally foreign idea thought of as taking place in seedy motel rooms and peddled on dark street corners. Now days anyone with a laptop and can create an Only Fans account, upload content and start making money as a sex worker in just a few clicks. We still have a long way to go before SW is normalized the way it should be but at least it’s a step in the right direction!

Why do you think it is important for sex work to be decriminalised, not just legalised and how would it change the way you are able to work?
Unless you know better, the legalization of sex work sounds like it would be something that most of us providers would benefit from, but for many it would end up doing more harm than good. Legalization would mean the strict regulation of sex workers by government officials in the form of expensive licensing, new laws and codes of conduct relating to sexual health, the amount we can charge, where we could work, and more. Unable to afford or comply with these new regulations many of us would still be working outside of the law and forced to accept riskier dates with little to no protections from predators or those who wish to exploit us.
Decriminalization, however would remove criminal laws relating to consensual sex work and would give us the same rights as any other self employed individual, which is all we really want in the first place. We don’t need the government putting any more regulations on our bodies and creating laws about how we can use them.

What’s one myth about Sex Work or Sex Workers you’d like to bust?
I cannot stand the SWERF (Sex Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminism) mentality that any and all sex work is oppressive and every sex worker is here under duress or brainwashed and forced into prostitution. That line of thinking is just so small minded and grossly inaccurate. Yes, sex trafficking exists, but for me and many of the providers I know, SW is the career we CHOSE, and for me personally it’s been one of the most empowering things I have ever done. We need to normalize sex work, and see it as the empowering choice that it is.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love learning new skills, especially ones that I can use as another side hustle! I am currently learning how to do permanent makeup application which is cool because it doesn’t require formal training or certification, so I’m free to practice and master my craft on my own terms. There are tons of free online classes that I take on my free time and I purchased all the necessary supplies to practice on amazon!
I also recently decided to learn how to read Tarot cards and found that I’m quite good at it! I’m still learning and mostly just read my own cards for now but it’s a fun way to gain a different perspective on whatever’s going on in my life. But who knows, once I get more comfortable reading other people’s cards I might start offering topless tarot card readings!

What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge after a long week?
After a long week there is nothing more delicious than taking a nice relaxing bubble bath, slipping into my silkiest pajamas and going to bed EARLY! For me nothing is more decadent and luxurious then going to bed and knowing I have absolutely nothing to do in the morning and can sleep in as late as I want. A girl needs her beauty sleep and I try to give myself this little luxury at least once a week.

We know you’re a 420 friendly provider, what are some of your favorite things to do when you imbibe?
Lately I’ve been really into smoking right before doing yoga or any type of meditation. It’s much easier for me to just turn my brain off and zen out if I’m stoned haha. I also love doing anything artistic or creative, my art projects always turn out so much better when I smoke a joint or two beforehand.
A note for clients wanting to smoke with me: I rarely smoke during sessions because I like to be 100% present and in the moment for my clients, especially if we are just getting to know each other. I will however make an exception for some of my regular clients when we have a few hours to spend together.

My ideal date would consist of: you teaching me something that you enjoy doing. I love learning new skills and there’s something so sexy about a man teaching me something he loves to do.
My favorite scent is: dank herb! haha. As far as favorite perfumes go I love Perfect by Marc Jacobs.
My ultimate bucket list dream is: I can’t say that I have one ultimate dream that outweighs all others.. I have many things that I want to accomplish and I'm always adding new things to that list!
If you wanted to buy me a drink at a bar, you should buy me a: I’m not a big drinker, but I can’t say no to a good Mimosa!
My favorite thing to be gifted is: I’m going to answer like 90% of girls and say lingerie! Call me basic but it’s true!
