Hiya! Welcome back to our interview series, A Tryst With... Today we're joined by Oklahoma City Masseuses Rynel & Rob, a couple who provide relaxation and sensual services together.
How did you get into the industry and what does your journey look like so far?
I'm Rob, and I've been providing massages for around 15 years. Rynel and I have been immersed in the swinging lifestyle for nearly 14 years. As we got to know more people in the lifestyle, it felt like a natural step to blend my love for massage with a more sensual approach. Roughly four years ago, we decided to expand by creating a massage room within our training facility, and that's when Rynel jumped in to help offer relaxing massage and sensual services. We now offer a wide range of massages, from therapeutic to erotic, and we're excited about where our journey is taking us.
You work together, offering 4-handed full body sensual massage. How has sex work effected your relationship?
After sharing a remarkable journey together spanning more than three decades, my spouse and I have cultivated a deep bond as best friends and partners in life. Our relationship has evolved significantly, particularly when we embraced a more open and honest approach, allowing us to express our intimate desires and explore newfound passions. One transformative aspect of our journey has been our venture into the world of four-handed full-body sensual massage services. Surprisingly, we've discovered a genuine satisfaction in offering this intimate experience to our clients, even sometimes surpassing the enjoyment we derive from our personal exploration within our relationship. What sets this experience apart for us, is an absence of complicated emotions, attachments, or concerns about entangled feelings. Instead, we relish the ability to share an erotic encounter with a client, knowing that once it concludes, there is no lingering emotional entanglement to navigate.

What’s the difference between working separately and working together?
The contrast between working independently and working as a team is quite meaningful for us.
When we collaborate on a client or clients, it's an incredibly rewarding experience. We take genuine pleasure in witnessing how our partnership can bring satisfaction to another person. However, it's important to note that working separately is an essential aspect of our profession due to the diversity of sexual orientations we encounter.
Our commitment to openness and our genuine enjoyment in assisting people in exploring their desires remains at the heart of what we do. It's deeply personal and fulfilling for us to be able to play this role in people's lives.
Have your views on sexuality changed because of your work?
Our perspective on sexuality has definitely evolved because of the work we do. It hasn't negatively impacted our sex life at all. We've become less interested in the swinging lifestyle and being intimate with others outside of our profession. This shift is partly because there's less drama involved; in the swinging scene, there's a lot of back-and-forth and emotional effort required to connect with another couple, which many times is fruitless. In our business, while we don't have the same level of engagement while choosing our clients as we would with our swinging partners, they come in for a sensual session, pay us, and then leave. We can enjoy erotic experiences with others, but it's strictly a professional transaction.

Are you both out as sex workers, and if so what was that process like?
I'm Rynel, and I've always been quite private when it comes to both our experiences in the lifestyle and in our business affairs. I believe in maintaining a high level of discretion in these aspects of our lives, and for me this includes my own privacy. On the other hand, my partner Rob is much more open about ethical non-monogamy and doesn't really care if others approve or not. However, even though we're open about our lifestyle choices, we both understand the importance of being discreet in our business dealings. More out of a consideration for our clients, rather than trying to hide what we do. It's fascinating how we strike a balance between personal privacy and our more open views on non-monogamy.
Why do you think it is important for sex work to be decriminalized, not just legalized and how would it change the way you are able to work?
Our steadfast support for decriminalization stems from the belief that individuals should have the autonomy to make choices about their bodies without facing incarceration. We firmly assert that the pursuit of a livelihood should not result in criminal penalties. Decriminalization aligns with our conviction that personal freedom and bodily autonomy should be respected and upheld as fundamental rights.

As sex workers, we're often asked some fairly inappropriate questions. In your opinion, what should non workers avoid asking sex workers and why? What do you think the general public could learn from Sex Workers?
In our experience, Rynel and I have found that our ads are quite clear about the services we provide and what we don't. Interestingly, when we present ourselves as a couple, we tend to receive fewer inappropriate inquiries. However, when inquiries are directed individually to one of us, there are instances where we encounter inappropriate questions. It's disheartening that some people view sex workers solely as objects rather than recognizing us as loving and caring human beings. Unsolicited nude pictures and inappropriate language are unfortunately not uncommon, especially from male potential clients. It seems that some guys interpret "no" as a challenge rather than respecting our boundaries. Over time, we've realized that those who engage in prolonged, inappropriate text exchanges often aren't genuinely interested in booking an appointment and rarely follow through.
What are your top three tips for nervous first-time clients?
1. Take a deep breath and try to relax: It's completely normal to feel nervous when seeking out a service for the first time. Remember to breathe and focus on making the experience enjoyable for yourself.
2. Remind yourself that you're not alone: Many people seek similar services, and there's no need to feel ashamed or isolated. Professionals are here to provide support and understanding.
3. Trust in the discretion and professionalism of the service provider: Understand that professionals in this field prioritize your privacy and safety. They are committed to avoiding any unnecessary drama or legal issues, so you can feel comfortable and secure during your experience.

What is a sex tip you think most people should know?
It's important to remember that real-life intimacy is different from what's portrayed in mainstream porn. Communication, consent, and understanding your partner's desires and boundaries are essential for a satisfying and healthy sex life. Everyone is unique, so it's crucial to prioritize open and honest discussions with your partner to discover what works best for both of you.
When it comes to hiring a sex worker, it's crucial to remember that they are professionals providing a service. Just like any other aspect of sexuality, clear communication, consent, and respect for boundaries are key. Remember that the experiences portrayed in porn are scripted fantasies and not reflective of real-life interactions. Prioritizing open and honest communication with a sex worker is essential to ensure both parties have a safe and satisfying experience.
You offer relaxation to others. What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge after a long week?
After a demanding week, our favorite way to recharge is by enjoying some downtime together. We cherish moments of togetherness, whether it's going on a spontaneous road trip or simply sharing quality time. Occasionally, we find relaxation in the calming effects of cannabis, which helps us unwind and appreciate these precious moments even more.
What is your studio like? What should a client see when they arrive?
Our massage studio is seamlessly integrated into our private training facility, offering clients a unique and holistic experience. As you enter, you'll be met with a warm, welcoming smile, and a highly attentive and compassionate provider. It's a space where professionalism meets personal care, ensuring your comfort and well-being from the moment you arrive.

What’s your favorite location to tour and what do you love to do there?
My partner and I have recently started touring for our work. It's been quite a change for us since we're usually swamped with studio work. We've made an effort to keep our tours within driving distance from our home. These road trips have become our cherished moments, filled with laughter, joy, and, of course, the opportunity to earn a living.
Our ultimate weakness is: Despite starting our sex work business later in life and acknowledging the challenges our age presents, we're determined to leverage our wisdom and experience as valuable assets, focusing on our strengths and the opportunities ahead without letting our age define our potential for success in the industry.
We get a big thrill out of: We find great satisfaction in the thrill of clients enthusiastically rebooking their sessions immediately, as it reflects their excitement and enjoyment of our services, making it incredibly gratifying to witness their eagerness to return for more.
We'll get along if: Acknowledging that sex workers, like everyone else, are human beings with emotions and provide a valuable service to society, we aim to promote greater understanding and compassion.
For us, the best part of sex is: The true significance of sexual intimacy lies in the journey of deep connection, shared intimacy, and exploration with a partner, where orgasms are merely a destination.
Our ideal date would consist of: Just the two of us on a remote island untouched by mankind so we can connect on a deeper emotional and spiritual level.

Together we could: Together, we have the power to conquer the world, leveraging our expertise and resilience to shape our own destiny.
