Welcome back to a tryst with. Our sex work interview series where we chat to all your favorite tryst workers! This week we chat to Hunstville escort Kaytee Morgan about how she got started in the industry, working with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, sex work myths and Pokemon go!
Tell us your story, how did you get into the industry and what has your journey looked like thus far?
I first got into sex work back in 2020! I started because I was sick and tired of working 3 jobs while going to college for my second degree! I wasn't unfamiliar with the industry. I had friends that were providers, dancers, and cam models. I originally started making posts on Craigslist. I then learned about the social media world and began using it to find clients. I'm very glad I came into the industry when I did! Between 2020 and 2021 I had to have 7 major spine surgeries. After these procedures, I was diagnosed with a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This experience was hard on me mentally, psychically, and financially. If it wasn't for the sex industry, I would have fell flat on my face!!!! That's coming from a woman with 2 degrees! No other job could have gotten me through what I went through. I am thankful for the industry!! I have created a wonderful circle of clients and have come for on my platforms. I use Tryst daily to provide information to any new or old client!!!! It's a great way to let the world know I'm around!! I also post new content on Onlyfans every day! Twitter and IG are also great ways to network.

How has the industry changed since you started?
I feel like I was really just starting to get my feet wet in the industry and then COVID hit. That's definitely changed the way everything is done. Many of my clients were out of work. Many clients had to quarantine. Hotels had restrictions. Curfews were put in place for a bit. I never in my life expected to go through a pandemic...
I do see the industry growing and this is a wonderful thing!! More humans are able to express themselves and find their kinks and desires!! It's time to end the stigma on sex work!

How do you find balancing studying, cam work and in person work?
So I have really bad ADHD.... I have to make myself sufficient. I put myself on a schedule for everything. I plan my meetings, do my own content, create my outfits, edit my photos, and do my own posts. It's honestly a lot to do and a lot to manage for 1 person. I have a large calendar where I write my details in bright beautiful colors. I keep notebooks to write my content ideas down in and to keep track of things I need to do like go to the doctor, take the dog to the vet, or to get a pedicure. It's the only way I manage to keep myself sane. Organization is key for me and sometimes that is hard. lol

You mentioned having EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), how does this impact your day to day life? (up to and including sex work)
EDS is a new diagnosis for me but not a new condition. All my life I struggled with joint issues, I just thought it was normal. It wasn't until my series of spine surgeries that I was diagnosed. EDS was the cause of my spine herniation at such a young age and SOOOO much more.... I also should have been diagnosed earlier in life but it was missed. I woke up one day and it seriously looked like I had scoliosis of my spine OVERNIGHT! I had 3 steroid injection procedures that never ever worked. I had 2 laminectomies and also ended up having to have an emergency laminectomy because I paralized my right leg putting shoes on post surgery I then had a spinal fusion that ended up being 2 different surgeries. I had to change a lot suddenly. My perspective on everything has changed. I'm in a predicament where I have degrees and I can get a job, but it's not the best for me. Due to my surgery I can not sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. I must alternate. A typical 9 to 5 is no longer really feasible for me. I now must take an even harder look at my future with this new diagnosis. That is why I am thankful for this industry. I am able to have a disability and support myself at the same time. I am able to take care of my needs because there are so many avenues for success within sex work. I am also able to spread awareness to people who were once like me and never knew EDS existed. I never expected myself to be in the predicament I was in. We never know what is going to happen! Along this journey I have met so many wonderful humans that REALLY DO care about the well being of others. My clients and fans showed me real support! In the same situation, I just know that previous employers would have kicked me to the curve... Always stay humble and kind.

What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge after a long week?
I love water. I'm a pisces so it comes natural, but being in the shower, a hot tub, the pool, or ocean makes my body feel GREAT!!! I am in the process of saving to build a home and I plan to have a massive walk in shower! (Big enough for 2 or MORE. {: ) I'm guilty of coming home and hanging out in the shower for an hour plus!!! I also unwind with music and 9 times out of 10 I'm jamming out to something. I used to not, but I now make self care a priority, but now I really see it as a must! Especially in this industry, YOU HAVE TO PUT YOURSELF AND MENTAL HEALTH FIRST! It is important for me to have a day of rest. It's important for me to do nice things for myself. It is important for me to go buy the expensive dress I've been eyeballing at Express because I worked hard last week and think I deserve it. Life is short. It's important to take care of the things that matter most. The most important thing to you, should always be you.

What’s one myth about Sex Work or Sex Workers you’d like to bust?
I feel like many people, especially in the south where I am located, look down on the sex industry. One myth I would like to bust is the misconception that all sex workers have been trafficked or coerced in to the sex industry. Sometimes that is the case, but most of the time it is not. I mentioned not having the easiest childhood, but I made a sound and solid choice to be here and to do what I do. I couldn't tell you how many times I have been asked about how I've started and have had people SHOCKED that I wasn't trafficked or put here by someone. I was tired of struggling financially. I was tired of not fitting in with the norm. I was tired of not enjoying things in my life. I made the choice to be here and many other sex workers have too. I want to see this industry grow and I want to see sex workers getting the respect they deserve. The only way to make that possible is by coming together to support each other.

What are your top three tips for nervous first time clients?
Don't over think it. You've only just met each other and this should be taken into consideration. Hopefully you have a wonderful time, but you can always shop around if you don't.
This is not a love affair. You can have an incredible relationship with your service provider but always remember that this is a professional service.
Respect that everyone has limits and everyone has boundaries. Something that is okay with one person may not be okay with another, and that is okay!
I am going to add a 4th because this is probably the most important of all. It is 2022 and I'm very sad that we have to preach it but - WEAR PROTECTION! WEAR PROTECTION! WEAR PROTECTION! Protection is put in place to keep both parties safe. Again, it's 2022 and you just don't know. Covid dropped on us like a bomb. Again, the most important thing to you should ALWAYS be you! Why would you want to put yourself in the situation to get something that you may never get rid of? Be smart and take care of yourself. WEAR PROTECTION!!!!! Get tested regularly! Take control of your sexual health and be responsible! Have fun, yes, but be smart.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work I love spending time with animals. I carry an associates degree in veterinary technology and I love caring for all of the furry or scale covered friends. I volunteer and donate to shelters when I am able to! I love music and always go see my favorite bands when they're in town! It sounds nerdy but I love going on walks to find Pokemon on Pokemon go! It's a fantastic game!!!! I also love photography. This could technically be considered "work" but to me it isn't. I enjoy planning out photoshoots! I like to create my scene, put together my outfit, and plan my location!!! I love dressing differently and getting different angles and views for my followers! I don't just photograph myself, I also take lots of pictures of nature and things around town that I feel look nice.

Is there a book, blog, tv show or movie that has had a major impact on your life? What was it and what did it teach you?
I am not big on tv and movies. I enjoy reading but there is not a book that I would say has impacted my life in any way. I am more impacted by people and situations. I look up to soooo many sex workers that get up every single day and hustle to have a beautiful life I look up to individuals with strong minds that have dreams, goals, ambition and drive.
What’s your favorite location to tour and what do you love to do there?
I have not traveled far but I am changing that in the coming months. My favorite place to travel currently is Panama City Beach, Florida! The beaches are always so beautiful. I always have a great time going to events in the area and trying new places to eat. I also love the clients I meet there. They make everything wonderful for me and always make sure I am well taken care of. I really love touring to locations that are happy to have me.
