Oh, hello. My loves, it is that glorious time again! We welcome you back to our worker interview series, A tryst With. We are just tickled pink to have a chat with, Houston BDSM provider, Mistress Keiki!
Tell us your story, how did you get into the industry and what has your journey looked like thus far?
I grew up in a Christian household where sexuality was highly repressed and was taught to be submissive to men if I ever wanted to find a good husband. I learned early how to repress my naturally dominant and independent nature to fit in with the traditions of what society and my family said a woman should be, which was submissive to men at all times. I was never completely satisfied in my relationship because I was not being the woman who I truly am. Although I suppressed my true dominant side. I was able to experience it through reading books like Nine and Half Weeks and the works of the Marquis de Sade. I also was collecting movies that were kinky like The Secretary. Eventually I got to a point where movies and books were not enough and curiosity took over. I went online and found a website that not only catered to BDSM but was educational. I joined the website and spent months reading about various kinks and discovered my fetiish for FemDom. There were kink parties and events posted on the website. I found one I was interested in attending and RSVP’d to go.
One of the requirements to attend the party was a munch to be vetted. At the munch I had a conversation with the organizer who was a lovely woman that identified as a submissive. I told her about my interest in FemDom and she was kind enough to suggest a club that catered to Dominate women and submissive men. I took her suggestion and joined the club where I met a Mistress who was a well known ProDom in the Houston kink scene. Fortunately for me she took an interest in me after we met. She encouraged me to spend a year playing at parties and events as often as I could. I took her suggestion and developed my skills with some of the basics like bondage, impact play, spanking along with various other kinks. During this time I remained in contact with the Mistress who I met at the club throughout the year. True to her word, when I called her about working with her she offered me an apprenticeship. I still remember the first day I walked into her dungeon. I felt like a star on stage. I was so nervous and so excited. I knew I was in my element. My mentor helped me elevate my skills from the basics to more advanced kinks like mummification, CBT and sounding just to name a few. She also taught me the business end of ProDom work and gave me the fundamentals on how to build and operate my own business. I spent a year working and learning in her dungeon until she retired. Thanks to her I was more than confident when I went out on my own. My journey into ProDom work has been extraordinary. It’s also been one of the most empowering experiences I have had so far.

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work I love to read and write and watch science fiction films. I spend an insane amount of my free time watching neuroscience and biology videos on Youtube in between sessions. I also love to cook, I am a foodie always looking for ways to hack fast food with my own home cooked versions. Another hobby is fitness. I work out 6 days a week to relieve stress and maintain a strong body. I enjoy a lot of outdoor activities, my summers are often spent biking, hiking, kayaking, skating and camping. Music festivals are another one of my favorite things to do when I am not working.
As sex workers, we face many challenges. What are some issues you care about, and how do you think your clients can help sex workers and become better allies?
The decriminalization of sex work is one of the main issues that concerns me. I have noticed a narrative in the media that links sex work with sex trafficking in the US. I can not help but feel this is politically charged to keep sex work illegal. Thanks to this narrative many people in the public think sex work and sex trafficking are the same if not very similar. Education is key to clarity on what sex work is and what sex trafficking is. I believe education on a more sex positive approach to how we as adults express ourselves and experience each other is the best way clients can become better allies with sex workers.

Why do you think it is important for sex work to be decriminalized and how do you think it would change the way you work?
The most important reason I think sex work should be decriminalized is for the safety of the workers and it would greatly diminish the market for sex trafficking. The criminalization of sex work leaves workers more vulnerable to unsafe work environments, violence and trafficking. Decriminalization of sex work can actually be a huge benefit to society in that it can help stop sex trafficking! As far as the effects of decriminalization on the way I work, I honestly don’t see any way it would change the way I work and screen my clients.
What’s one myth about BDSM you’d like to bust?
Pain. Many people in my experience have this idea that BDSM is all about pain. They often think a Mistress or Domme is this angry cold bitter woman. I am honestly a very happy person who is very Dominant and kinky af! There are extremes in BDSM and those extremes such as seeing someone online tied upside down with a hitachi strapped to their groin while they are being flogged. That image would give the idea that BDSM is about pain, but what many people looking into BDSM don’t often see are images of tickle torture. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a person tied up and tickled mercilessly. I have done as many tickle torture sessions as I have flogging. I have witnessed clients find ecstasy in subspace from something as simple as being tickled to being flogged. The beauty of BDSM is one can find pleasures with effects that can last up to two weeks after a session, this is what we call subspace or top space if you're dominant. BDSM is not all about pain…unless that’s what you beg me for!

What changes would you like to see happen within the sex industry?
I would like to see more unity and better communication across the different fields of sex work. We can all learn to work and manage our businesses better if we mutually respect other fields and share our knowledge. It would be great if there were a sex industry convention where all the many fields of sex work could come together to educate, network and exchange ideas on how we can improve our industry as well as how we can influence governmental polices the affect our industry.
When you're having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
My bedroom is my sanctuary. After a bad day I like to relax in a hot bath with a mimosa or a glass of champagne then hop in my bed and curl up with a good book.
What would your dream date look like?
My dream date would start with brunch then a Tame Impala concert followed by dinner at my favorite restaurant and end with play time in a dungeon.
Were there any providers in particular that you looked up to? Someone who inspires you & why?
I am inspired by the work of Mistress Ella Strictland. She is a phenomenon with rope. I once saw her make a strap-on harness with nothing but rope! She was very supportive when I began my career and has continued to be to this day.

My favorite scent is: Le Vie Est Belle by Lancome
My favorite restaurant is: Eddie V’s
If you were to buy me a drink at a bar, you should buy me: Champagne
My favorite thing to be gifted is: Gift cards
A social cause I care about is: The decriminalization of sex work and the underfunding of research in women’s health care.
