Welcome back to our sex worker interview series 'A Tryst With...' Today we're talking with Atlanta Dominatrix Mistress Sugar about Medfet, the BNWO, and comfort food.
We’d love to know a little of your backstory - how did you get here and what do you do?
I got here like everyone else. I was casually minding my business, taking a stroll down yonder lol, when I tripped and fell down a rabbit hole called BDSM. All jokes aside, it started with me being a dancer — and no, not ‘like ballet and shit’ — an exotic dancer. In 2015, I worked at a famous gentleman’s club in Philly, called Delilah’s. A sub approached me, with what was at the time an outrageous request, he told me what he wanted and asked how much it would cost him. Being the hustler that I am, I filled that request and made that money. Oh, and what do I do? I am a professional pervert, a Pandora’s box full of beta male secrets, a published model and actress… but today we discuss me being a professional Dominatrix.

What did you find was a big learning curve for you when you entered the industry? Was there anything you took to like a duck to water?
The learning curve was just different for me because I didn’t learn my skills from a dungeon or being a sub first. I learned hands on, with trial by my own error and research on YouTube and on PornHub. My very first actual BDSM booking was with a veteran sub in Philadelphia, and whew, he was a masochist into extreme kinks and fetishes. I learned so much over the course of that 2 day booking! Still to this day those are some of my favorites to indulge in. I feel like those areas are where I really shine because I’m so confident in them.
What’s the most important thing that potential clients need to understand about you, your identity, and the experiences of Black sex workers?
The most important thing that potential clients need to understand about me being a Pro Domme is my business. I run it like a legitimate business owner would, starting from the initial booking/content inquiry, down to post-booking follow ups. I take what I do seriously because it’s my full time job and primary source of income.
I hate that some clients fetishize me but still attempt to low-ball me because I am a WOC (Woman of Color). They’ll even go from being “respectful” to saying racial slurs and derogatory insults when they don’t succeed in lowering my rates. PSA: The same way you pay top dollar to a white sex worker without the extra haggle attempts, is the same exact etiquette needed for our Black sex workers. I see Black sex workers discuss this on my twitter feed often. Actually, since I’m a Black domme, I think we should actually get paid more as a token of their gratitude and appreciation. Reparations are in fact owed, haha. Guys love to submit to the BNWO (Black New World Order).

You offer a range of activities as a Domme, and one of your specialities is medfet. Can you tell us about this, and why you’re so drawn to it?
MEDFET is short for Medical Fetish. That fetish is a very niche based fetish involving the healthcare industry as a setting. As a Domme, I'm drawn to medfet because of my 11 years of experience as a healthcare professional. As a licensed practical nurse since 2013, I've had a deep understanding of the medical world and the power dynamics that come with it.
Medfet allows me to combine my passion for BDSM with my professional expertise, creating a unique and intense experience for my subs. I love the thrill of pushing boundaries, exploring new sensations, and dominating in a way that's both clinical and sensual.
For me, medfet is about trust, control, and the exchange of power. It's a space where I can use my knowledge to create a sense of vulnerability and surrender, and where my subs can let go of their inhibitions and surrender to my care. My very first medfet scene was held in Washington D.C. with a man who had trauma from the constant invasive procedures and surgeries he had endured from birth and throughout his early childhood; medfet is how he safely navigates and expresses himself in a healthy manner. I dress up and engage with him as Evil Nurse Sugar.
I'm drawn to medfet because it's a natural extension of my professional persona, and it allows me to tap into a deeper level of intimacy and connection with my subs. It's a journey of discovery, and I'm excited to explore it with those who crave the thrill of medical fetishism.

How do you deal with the emotional and physiological highs and lows of domination? What kinds of aftercare do you provide to yourself?
I deal with the emotional and physiological highs and lows of domination actually fairly easy. Let’s talk about the highs: I actually enjoy what I do. I rarely have a low; I experience the same exciting feelings as I do post workout or post multiple orgasms. I feel like an intense head high and long lasting euphoria post session. I’ve only experienced top drop twice; and I honestly think because that was a very intense 3 day booking, and I wasn’t prepared mentally. I also had terrible sleep the night before and didn’t eat prior to starting. I mean honestly, it was poor preparation on my end. This was probably year 2 of me being a domme; I hadn’t gotten my bearings yet because I was kinda learning freelance and not directly under a dungeon sisterhood until I came to the Atlanta Dungeon. Post session I was extremely exhausted and drained mentally.
I like to recharge with various self care rituals. Some of those include: at home facials, a relaxing bubble bath in a jacuzzi style bathtub, and relaxing to my “Goddess” playlist on Apple music. After that, I either get me one of my comfort food go tos: Thai mango sticky rice, Nigerian egusi stew with jollof rice and chicken, a grain bowl loaded with harissa chicken from Cava, Liberian potato greens… orrr Jamaican, Puerto Rican/Dominican cuisine. I put on a show on Netflix, or SpongeBob or South Park, and binge for a few hours. Finally, I’ll get up and stretch and meditate and by then I should feel recharged and ready to kick ass again.

Where do you draw inspiration from in your BDSM practice?
Hmmmm that’s a great question… I think the best answer for me would be that my inspiration is my own personal life experiences – I have lived a very colorful life thus far – and all of the veteran dommes I’m inspired by, like Lady Rouge in Philadelphia, the famous Isabella SinClair, Venus Cuffs, and Madame Caramel.
Is there anything that always makes you feel powerful and grounded in your body?
I feel powerful whenever I throw that shit on, hahaha – meaning I get dressed up to the tea. I will understand the assignment and excel in it, but being well dressed and smelling like expensive designer perfume, with exceptional hair, nails and makeup. Who wouldn’t feel powerful? Especially as the Divine feminine that I am!

What does your workspace look like? How is it set up? Do you have a favourite piece of furniture or equipment?
My workspace looks different on a day to day basis. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions; I also create custom video/audio clips. It could be in a space specifically set up for content creating, equipped with studio lighting, props, actors, etc. Or it could be in a dungeon – I work at various ones across the USA. The dungeons vary too; you have some that are completely updated with all of the new gadgets, toys, break rooms, lockers, different themed rooms, and anything you can think of. Then there are others that are more vintage and antique. I also have my “work from home” office set up, where I can do my livestreams, phone calls, video calls, film content. I also can’t forget the trusty hotel suite. The suite life is essential when touring. Some guys don’t like the dungeon, they’d prefer a hotel/domestic set up; it makes them feel more relaxed and “at home”, so to speak. Currently my favorite piece of furniture is the spanking bench, it just is a very versatile piece of furniture. ;)
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My hobbies and interests outside of work are and include the following:
I’m a foodie, a girl can, and will in fact EAT! I love to create in various ways, I love acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, cooking (can’t forget the plating), dancing (pole dancing, TikTok dances, hip hop), I love to travel (quite the Lil’ Miss on the move). I’ve been to 7 countries, and I have so many international travel plans for 2025! I do love to connect in nature but like glamping, not roughing it, lmao, I’m just a girl! I love rock climbing! I’m a cool mom — a dog mom to two furbabies, so I take them to the park almost daily; either a trail or a cutesy dog park like Fetch ATL. I’m pretty adventurous and outgoing. I like to explore and find new things I like often!
What are your top 4 playlists, artists, or albums for setting the mood during sessions?
My top 4 artists to play during a session… hmmmm this can be a tiny bit tough. Let me try to group it the best way I can.
THE WEEKEND and Future — they are both toxic, dark and seductive, lmaoooo, perfect to set the mood.
SEXXY RED, Meghan the Stallion, Glorilla, Cardi B, and everyone else that’s hot as a female rapper — that combo is for the sissies who want to get in their feminine bag!
EDM playlist — a combo of Bonnaroo and Imagine Festival.
I do have a playlist with System of a Down and Red Hot Chilli Peppers…I love them too!

My dream vacation is: A Mediterranean/European Cruise for 3 weeks.
The makeup item I swear by is: Two Faced Extreme Lip Plumper.
The secret to getting to know me is: Still a secret, I honestly choose when I want to open up and let people in. It must be my Aquarius moon.
A historical figure I find inspiring is: Josephine Baker, she was a sex worker (a burlesque dancer) and an activist! And an awesome mom! She adopted so many children!
My favorite lingerie brand/designer is: Laced By Tania and Honey Birdette.
