Verification Continues
Back in October I wrote a blog post about upcoming changes to how we verify providers on Tryst.link. Since that post went up, we've been hard at work testing and refining the verification process with small groups of providers.
The feedback we've received from small test groups has been invaluable and has given us confidence to slowly increase the size of groups we work with to update their verification.
We understand going through the verification process can be anxiety inducing, which is why we have worked so hard to get it right before rolling out the changes required of us by various laws around the world. If you are asked to update your account verification, please read the information carefully as we really want to get you through on your first attempt!
In addition to all the effort we’ve been putting into this work, we have also made some other improvements to Tryst.link!
Updated calendar interface
When you create or manage your tours or submit anything with a date to us, there's a button you click that brings up a calendar–that's called a "calendar picker". Our former picker was getting pretty old and wasn't accessible for people with low vision that use assistance software. The new calendar picker has much better screen-reader support and is fully keyboard navigable, making it a significantly improved experience for everyone, but especially for those with accessibility needs. For the nerdy amongst us, this brings us another step closer to dropping jQuery from our site!
Better words, clearer words
Like any platform, we send you emails to let you know when something is happening with your account. These are the emails you receive from us when you join the platform, when there's an issue to resolve, when you make a purchase, your membership is going to expire–any of the automated tasks that fire off an email to inform you of something. We’ve made these emails clearer and ensured they contain more information about why you're getting them and any extra details on resolving the thing we are emailing you about.
While we are talking email, a reminder that we have a great resource on our Support Centre to help you validate that an email is really from us and not someone trying to impersonate us. Give it a read for some tips for staying safe in your inbox!
Tryst.link status page
Did you know we have a neat little page that shows live status indicators for various Tryst.link systems? Visit https://tryststatus.link/ to check how the website or our payment services are currently functioning, or if there's a backlog in our customer support team. It’s updated regularly, so if you’re ever having issues with Tryst.link, the status page should be the first place you check. We’re planning some upgrades to how we let you know our status, so check back regularly!
As always, send me your thoughts and about these changes or any other aspect of how you use Tryst.link! Fire up your email client and send a message to chris@tryst.link - I can't respond to every message, but I will absolutely read them all.
