Tryst.link Update Feb '25: Availability, Payments, & Comms

New on the site this month

Since the early days of Tryst you’ve been able to share what days you are open to bookings, however, this has always been a simple on/off option with no ability to indicate what parts of the day you are available in.

We’ve split it into the common segments folks think about the day: early morning, morning, afternoon, and night. You can select any combination of them for each day, or select all day or leave the toggle off to show that day as unavailable!

Other improvements

  • Sometimes, banks can be real slow and take a couple minutes to confirm that a transaction succeeded (thanks, banks!). To help avoid you double paying, we’ve added an alert if your last transaction was in the last few minutes so you can double check before proceeding.
  • We’ve made it possible to remove a user from your Tryst Messaging inbox, even if that user has since deleted their account but the messages have not yet been deleted.
  • Sometimes we need to ask you to make a change or update some of your content to ensure that your profile can remain online. We’ve improved the content in the messages and emails we send you when this happens, to help clarify how soon you need to act, what you need to do, and how to get assistance from our team.
  • As a modern website, Tryst.link relies on your browser being relatively up to date so if you are using an older browser we show a message letting you know you may run into issues and provide assistance on how to update it. This message was unintentionally covering up site content which is not what it was meant to do! We’ve given it a tidy up so it doesn’t do that anymore. Thanks to the folks who let us know this was happening and if you are also seeing an unexpected banner, please reach out!
