A Tryst With Dallas Dominatrix Mistress Mia
We're back with our sex worker interview series, A Tryst With... and we're joined by Mistress Mia, a Dallas Pro Domme.
How did you get into the industry and what does your journey look like so far?
I got into the industry through a long-time sex worker friend who did “body rubs” from her living room. She saw three clients a day and had some of them requesting services she didn’t offer and honestly didn’t feel comfortable providing herself. Knowing I leaned more towards the unconventional, or at least recognizing my “gothic style” and general “kinkiness”, she wondered if I could assist her with some of her more 'interesting' clients. Surprisingly, I didn’t really hesitate and agreed to start doing double sessions with her. She showed me the ropes of the business – what worked and what didn’t – and I sort of haphazardly discovered my place in the sex worker world. I can’t lie; there were some awkward moments here and there at first, mostly with clients that didn't know what Ts or Trans meant so there were the occasional “oh shit” moments, but I always did my best to keep things calm and headed in the right direction, and they certainly did!
There were also moments trying to understand more about my private self and how that related to the public facing version of myself, mostly how everything would fit together and actually work for my life. Over the course of a year, I must have done at least 250 sessions of varying types before one insightful client suggested, “You should just be a full-time Mistress.” After mulling that revelation over for a moment, I responded, “What a great idea I just had!” and haven't looked back since!
What has sex work taught you about yourself?
When it comes to sex work, there’s no shortage of lessons to be learned about oneself, including what “sex”, “work” or even what the term “yourself” actually means. I’d have to say that it’s mostly taught me that there's no wrong or right answer, and sometimes these concepts can and do converge simultaneously. What might initially seem wrong, in the right context and with the right person, can feel profoundly right. For instance, the idea of being slapped hard across the face might seem like a negative thing at first, generally due to social conditioning or past experience. However, in a scenario where the atmosphere, context, and connection are just right, the anticipation of the act and the build up to that specific act can be unbearably exciting. And when it actually culminates in a good hard slap across the face, the sensation and feelings that follow can only be described as orgasmic for all concerned!
So this actually brings up more questions… is getting slapped across the face sexual, or could it be described as sex? What did I learn about myself, and what did my partner learn about themselves during it? Is face slapping sex work? Should I feel good about it, should I do it again? Is this a normal thing? Am I weird for liking it or doing it? All valid questions the slapper and the slappee might ask themselves!
Reflecting on real-life experiences like this over a 15+ year span, I've come to view people and sexuality differently than most. The “elephant in the room” lesson is that human sexuality is absolutely the most complicated and fascinating thing on planet earth, and I’m here to experience every amazing bit of it and try to remain open to whatever the sex work wants to teach me next!
What is something clients can do to make you feel more comfortable as a trans worker?
I'd say I am rarely ever made to feel uncomfortable. Maybe I'm not easily upset by most things? Perhaps I should be more upset about certain instances, like when someone calls me ”baby” or ”honey”? The truth is I actually kind of understand where they're coming from with that wordage. I know it isn't necessarily a slight against me; it's intended more as a compliment, almost a term of endearment in some clunky, fumbly way. However, I would say that in the context of something easy that clients could do to make me more comfortable is to use the terms Mistress, Miss, She/Her, are the best things to approach me with and show respect, you get what you give after all!
Another thing a client can do to make me feel more comfortable is to simply be themselves. I believe that my studio/dungeon might be the only place on earth where you can truly be yourself without any judgment. What I'm trying to say is, it makes me uncomfortable when someone tries to be something they're not. Just be you, even if ”you” is something polite society might otherwise frown upon. Maybe you’re a pretty pink frilly sissy girl in need of a spanking, or a slave seeking tight inescapable head to toe bondage, or a foot worshiper or you have a yearning to lust over my high heels. Here in my studio, the response is generally a resounding 'yes, please!’ So don't be afraid to tell me what your heart truly desires, anything less and I will know, and that makes me feel less than comfortable, and nobody wants that!
Are there any trans people who's online presence has been influential for you and you want to give a shout out to?
I don't really get many chances to connect with other trans people, online or otherwise; we're quite a unique group, especially those of us with shared interests in kink, I can only think of a few and we don't really communicate with each other, maybe I should try and fix that some way moving forward!
I do however collaborate with an incredible female Mistress, and I'd love to give her a shout out! Mistress Tracy Dallas, and sometimes she goes by Domina Tracy Dallas! She has been a close friend and supporter of my craziness for over 20 years. In my eyes, she's the best Mistress I've ever encountered, besides myself of course, lol. Her skills in electro play, bondage, whipping/flogging, and creating intensely humiliating role play scenes are unparalleled. She's among the top ten Mistresses in the country, in my book, if there were such a thing!
How does your trans identity intersect with your work as a pro Domme?
I'd say my trans identity intersects wholly and completely from the top down! I like to think I offer something unique and distinct from what another provider might offer. Being 6’4” and weighing around 200-ish pounds sets me apart from most right from the start. There's often an initial overwhelming feeling due to my height and presence, but this quickly fades, and subs and sissies alike seem to instinctively fall under my total mental and physical control. It's fascinating to see an otherwise powerful person melt into putty in my arms; a sense of calm envelops them. If you’ve ever seen it happen it’s something very special, magical even!
How do you bring your own personality and personal style to your kink work?
I do my best to portray my personality and style every chance I get, everywhere possible all the time. Normally, reaching out on social media will tell you a lot about me, except for Instagram, of course, that site is full of trash and failure, everyone that knows me knows my feeling on this. I also realize a lot of people love it there, but a lot of people also like liver and onions so there’s that, lol. I am generally much more active on 𝕏 and on my OnlyFans page than on any other platforms. I post current pictures, videos, and thoughts there almost every day. I think my style is pretty unique, stemming from my first experiences with Mistresses and my perceptions of what a Mistress was supposed to embody and stand for. I also had a fascination with silent film star Louise Brooks. I loved her hairstyle, her attitude towards life, and her presence on film. It takes a lot more than most people know to communicate with your face and body rather than simply using words.
Fun fact: they say that verbal communication is only around 7 percent of human communication, that means the other 93 percent of it is pure body language and facial expression. As a Mistress you learn to read body language more than anything else, the mouth can lie, the body does not!
What’s a fetish you love to explore with clients? Do you have any fetishes yourself?
I really enjoy most, if not all, fetishes with clients. There are very few instances where I don't get to explore each and every facet of kink and BDSM in a session. If I had to choose a single fetish I'd like to do more, it would be related to high heels and boot worship. I especially enjoy it when the client genuinely wants to engage in the activity and is not “forced” by me to do it. The process of helping me lace into my thigh-high boots and then polishing them to a perfect shine is exhilarating. Helping me put on my black latex stockings, shining them, and then sliding on my seven inch heels is also exhilarating, and builds anticipation for what I’m about to do next, probably CBT! So, I suppose more sessions like that would be enjoyable for me, both personally and professionally!
As far as personal fetishes, I enjoy a wide range of exciting things, including latex, corsets, and makeup. However, high heels are my absolute favorite fetish item. I own nearly every type of fetish footwear imaginable, including various boots, pumps, platforms, metal heels, pointed and rounded toes, three, five, seven, or nine inch heels, pony boots, and even some rather extreme ballet boots! My collection boasts around 50 different pairs of fetish-related footwear, and one pair of flats for a touch of variety, ha!
What is your favorite corset? Is there a pair of shoes that are your go-to?
Oh goodness, this is a tough one! I actually own more than 100 corsets, a little-known fact that I haven't mentioned anywhere else. I love how they shape the body and the indescribable feeling of power they give me. Wearing a corset almost makes me feel like a superhero, with each one offering a different feeling, shape, and serving a different purpose for me, whether as the wearer or for the starstruck observer.
The ultimate piece in my collection, and probably in the world, is a full heavy rubber corset from HW Design, CORSET 20. It's fantastic in every way and comes with many exciting attachments that I adore. It's a bit pricey for casual use, so it's really for those who appreciate such fetish-style items and can see value where others may not. As a corset and latex fetishist, buying it with every single attachment available was a no-brainer for me!
I also have a pair of shiny black no name generic brand high heels, about 5 inches in height, which I wear a lot. They're my go-to choice to start with, if a session requires something more intense and extreme, I'll switch into those at some point and really “drive the point home”, so to speak!
Do you have a pre or post session routine?
Yes, I generally arrive at the studio about two hours before a session. This time allows me to clean up anything that might not have been cleaned from the previous session and to mentally prepare for the upcoming one. I read through emails and texts once more ensuring that I am getting everything that the client is looking for together, that batteries are charged, the studio is fully stocked, and that clothing items and shoes they may have requested are available and ready to go! After that I pick out an outfit for myself and do my makeup fairly quickly as I am very well practiced at it! If I have extra time before the client arrives I snap a few photos and sometimes videos for social media purposes. I like to do this before a session as I look “less fresh” after a session. So then I wait for the client to call and then greet my client on time and ready to rock!
Afterwards, I usually take a hot shower with all my clothes on, I normally wear latex clothing, it’s tough to take off sometimes, but what I’ve found is that it comes off so much easier in the shower, cleans it at the same time also. It does feel weird to take a shower with clothes on though! I then leave the dungeon as fast as I can because I'm often starving by that time and eager to eat something! I believe that the meal you have after a good, hard session is the best meal ever, whether you're the Mistress or the submissive!
What’s the proudest moment of your career?
I don’t know if I have an exact proudest moment; generally, every day brings me joy, and I can’t honestly think of one thing that would give me more joy than another. You know what they say about doing something you love…
What do you get up to when you’re not working? Do you have hobbies or special interests?
I like to do a lot of things when I’m not working, generally they involve getting myself working again, lol. I enjoy a lot of tech-related things. I built and designed my own website from the bottom up, and there have been many many incarnations of it over the years to keep up with the times. I was one of the first to use bootstrap because it was more mobile friendly and I still use it to this day. Some websites have chosen to stick with the 1996 look forever and I think that’s just unfortunate. What a perfect place to show your creativity! I like making music and think it’s very therapeutic to at least make an effort to express myself that way. Even if it isn’t necessarily the best in the world, I have a different name I use for that. I have achieved some notoriety with my music, pretty cool! I also like to cook!
Is there a book, blog, tv show, or movie that has had a major impact on your life? (feel free to geek out about it!)
Early fetish magazines significantly impacted me. Titles like AtomAge, Skin Two, Marquis, Heavy Rubber, Bizarre, and, of course, DDI were incredibly influential. Before discovering these magazines and the kink culture they contained, I genuinely felt completely alone in the world with my kinks and fetishes. Most can't remember a time before the internet, but I do. It was a very lonely and isolating period for people like me. Now, everyone has access to everything all the time. But imagine a time when the only place to find anything involving latex or any hint of fetish was tucked away in the back of a seedy porn shop on the bad side of town, tightly wrapped in saran wrap, and priced at at least $30 a piece, plus tax! The decision to buy a magazine rested solely on the cover image and what it said it contained inside.
The past is a strange, clunky thing, and I for one am happy to see some of it go by the wayside. I'm more forward looking these days than ever and very grateful for the fast, sleek, shiny future we’re all going to be part of! Nothing worse than being stuck in the past when the world around us is actually so full of amazing ideas and interesting concepts that bring kink to us faster and more efficiently!
My favorite everyday pleasure is: Cooking. I love to cook and do it daily, mainly because I prefer to eat healthy, whole, organic foods and going out doesn't really offer any of that, at least here in Dallas. At my house, I aim for 5-star quality every single day, so dining out, even at nice places, tends to be a let down. I cook most genres of food pretty well, and for what I don’t know, the Sous Chef on Chat GPT provides me with recipes that will blow you away!
If you want to buy me a drink, you could order a: I don’t normally drink but if I were to celebrate a special occasion or whatever I’m sure that champagne would do the trick! Unless I’m in New Orleans and then absolutely a bloody mary, the way they do it is the way, the only way!
A makeup item I swear by is: Anastasia Beverly Hills black liquid eyeliner, really great application and will stay on through whatever hot sweaty crazy mess I get into during a session or just the day in general.
I get a big thrill out of: being a Mistress! I love dressing up all shiny and tight and sharing fetish and kink with another person as thrilled about expressing that need for kink as I am.
A social cause I care about is: The ongoing battle for our sexual orientation and gender identity rights, which is a real and very current struggle. If politicians and influential groups like the Heritage Foundation go unchecked, we risk losing any and all of those hard-fought rights, including rights we take for granted, like interracial marriage – and no, I am not joking. Complacency and mere acceptance are not solutions. Instead, we must actively resist tyranny to protect and advance our freedoms, not simply lose them to the "oh well, I can’t do anything about that" mindset. The whole "I’m not into politics" spiel can’t and won't work anymore because, guess what, buddy, politics are definitely into you!
